Born in Paris in 1958, Daniel Pudles spent his childhood in Brazil and America
before returning to France in 1967. He studied at the Ecole Supérieure d'Arts
Graphiques before taking work with Imedia, an affiliation of L'Institut National
pour l'audiovisuel. His Video 'Voies de fêtes' won the Graphiti first prize in Monpellier.
From 1993 to 2004 Pudles worked in London as an illustrator for a series of national newspapers
including The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph and the weekly magazine The Economist. Whilst in
London he won three first prizes for illustration at the National Art Library Illustration
Awards as well as the Victoria and Albert Illustration Award in 1996, 2001 and 2004.
Pudles currently lives and works in Brussels with his wife and two sons.
